Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 20, 2026

This policy explains what information StreamLog collects, why we collect it, how we protect it, and the choices you have. It applies to the Service at streamlog.pinenodes.com. In short: we collect the minimum needed to run the Service, we do not sell your data, and you can delete most of it yourself at any time.

1. Information we collect

Account information

When you create an account we store your email address, a password (held securely by our authentication provider), and optionally your display name and a profile image URL.

Content you create

Your lists, the titles in them, watch statuses, ratings, notes, and any custom streaming links you add. This is the data that makes the Service work.

Usage and technical data

Our hosting and analytics providers may log standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, device, and aggregate page views, used to keep the Service secure and understand overall usage. This is aggregate, not used to profile you personally.

2. How we use your information

We use your information only to operate the Service: authenticating you, saving and showing your lists and content, powering shared lists between members, enforcing rate limits, and keeping the Service working and secure. We do not sell or rent your personal data, and we do not show ads based on your data.

3. Third-party services

StreamLog uses a small number of providers to run and improve the Service:

  • Firebase (Google) for email/password authentication and password resets. Firebase stores your authentication data and follows Google's privacy practices.
  • Vercel for hosting, and its analytics for aggregate usage statistics.
  • Neon for the Postgres database that stores your content.
  • OMDb, TMDB, AniList, and Jikan for title metadata. When you search or add a title, a query for that title is sent to these providers. They do not receive your account information.

4. Cookies and similar technologies

The Service uses a session cookie to keep you signed in, and our analytics provider may use similar technology to measure aggregate usage. These are not used to advertise to you. You can clear cookies in your browser, but you may need to sign in again.

5. Data retention

We keep your account and content for as long as your account exists. When you delete a list, its titles, ratings, and notes are removed. Upstream data caches may retain title metadata briefly for performance; they are not tied to your personal information.

6. How we protect your data

Access to the Service is protected by authentication, and requests to your data require a valid session. Passwords are handled by Firebase's authentication services, which use industry-standard hashing. Traffic is served over HTTPS. No service is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures appropriate for a free hobby project.

7. Your rights and choices

You can update your name and profile image, change your password, edit or remove notes and links, change statuses, and delete any list you own — all from within the app. You can sign out at any time. To delete your account and the associated data entirely, contact us through the feedback form and we will help. You also have the right to access and correct your data, and to ask us to delete it, subject to legal obligations.

8. Children's privacy

The Service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. International data transfers

Our hosting, database, and authentication providers may process data in regions outside your country of residence. By using the Service, you consent to that processing. We rely on these providers' data protection commitments.

10. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy in a material way, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be revised. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
